Pangong Lake

Pangong lake is one of the most popular places to visit in Leh and is located just 160 kilometres away from Ladakh. The drive to Pangong lake is an exciting experience offering scenic views. It is a beautiful lake with crystal blue waters blessed with pleasant weather throughout the year. Pangong Tso is also amongst the camping places in Ladakh.

Enjoy the solitude near the placid waters of this magnificent lake in Ladakh and take out your cameras to capture the picturesque view of this wonderful place. Black-necked Siberian can be spotted near the Mahe marshes, the only breeding place for these rare migratory birds.


Magnetic Hill

Magnetic Hill famously known as the “Gravity Hill”, located near Leh in Ladakh gives you an experience of a lifetime. The hill discombobulates with its optical illusion, hence making you question the very existence of gravity.

There are different notions as to why it is called the Magnetic Hill or the Gravity Hill. Some believe that the magnetic force in the area is so strong that it can pull cars uphill. In fact, Border Roads Organization (BRO) has even made boxes with paints on the roads to actually make the visitors feel the magic.


Nubra Valley

Trekking on the rocky, colossal trails of this valley is a truly exciting experience as it is situated near the banks of the pure Nubra river. Nubra Valley is also famous for its camp around, get lost in the majestic beauty of Nubra valley.

The valley is named as “the valley of flowers” and it has some of the most beautiful, vibrant and colourful flowers set amidst lush green landscape. This place is popular because of its serene and tranquil ambience.


Lamayuru Monastery

It is the most ancient, royal and interesting monastery of Ladakh, located at a distance of 125 kilometres from Leh. It is picturesquely enveloped by the rugged, dusty mountains and is beautifully carved out of the badland area.

It comes in your way when you move towards Kargil from Leh. Drive on the road towards Lamayuru is an excellent way to explore the scenic snow-capped mountains of the region. Lamayuru Monastery is one of the must-see places to visit in Leh.


Shanti Stupa

In this world, much in need of peace, the white, beautiful and serene Shanti Stupa on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh district, Ladakh, in the north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir provides a fabulous, unobstructed view. This white beauty amidst the snow lets you experience a moment of breathlessness. Situated at a height of 4267 metres, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the Stupa is at a distance of about 5 km from the Leh City.

It was built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace and also to celebrate the 2500 years of Buddhism. Therefore if you wish to experience peace amidst all the noise, among the places to visit in Leh, there’s no one better than Shanti Stupa. It is a combo of serenity, peacefulness and exotic views.


Shey Palace

Shey monastery is famous because of the magnificent metal statue of Buddha and one of the places to visit in Leh , the second largest statue in the city of Ladakh.

It is located 15 kilometres south of Leh. It was built in the year 1655 by Ladakh’s king Deldan Namgyal. The royal kings of Ladakh used to stay here during summers.


Leh Royal Palace

Surrounded by the amazing beauty of the region with the snow-capped mountains and the valleys Ladakh is also famous for the Royal Leh palace. Located at the Leh city, Leh Palace is one of the main tourist attractions in the Leh city. This palace is one of the tallest buildings of its time with nine stories.
